Vincent Pontare mostly known as Vincent (born 13 May 1980 in Solna, Stockholm County) is a Swedish artist and the son of Roger Pontare.[1]
After studying music in Örnsköldsvik he moved to Stockholm to study music production for a year at Memus.
Pontare has been an established name in music production for a long time. He recently got his song "Evergreen" placed on the new Backstreet Boys album as well as wrote the hit single "If Only You" for Danny feat Therese Grankvist.
His debut album Lucky Thirteen was released in Sweden in November 2007 and with the title he pays tribute to his birthday on 13 May and plays with the contradiction of the classic unlucky number.
Since the breakthrough with "Don’t hate on me" which was played frequently in a TV commercial for a mobile company Pontare has had time to shoot a video for the song "Miss Blue" in LA starring supermodel Anine Bing.
His music is a combination of ska, reggae and the 1960s. Pontare writes most of his songs himself and co-produced all the songs on the album. To promote the album he went on tour and performed around 100 gigs.[2]
In 2010 Vincent released "Baby Hurricane", the first single from his forthcoming second album.
